Acorn 180 Curved Automatic Powered Hinge OptionIf there is a doorway near the foot of the stairs the optional automatic powered hinged rail is ideal. The lower section of the rail folds up and out of the way automatically as the stairlift travels up and down the staircase, allowing greater access at the foot of the stairs. The powered hinge raises and lowers automatically as the stairlift travels up and down the staircase. When the stairlift is not is use, the rail is neatly out of the way and causes no obstruction. |

The curved stairlifts are obviously a little more complicated and expensive. Many people buy two new or used straights to save money. Some people send us pictures through their smart phones of their staircase. We can actually give a general price over the phone in most cases, . . .but usually have to follow up with an in-home estimate to be completely accurate. In our opinion the Acorn 180 custom curve stair lift
is NOT the best in the World . . .
but it can be done RIGHT NOW!
It is GOOD, but it is not as smooth
and well built as the Bruno CRE-2110.
But it is still rated about an 8- out of 10.
(the Bruno is about a 9 out of 10)
It is still very reliable - we hardly ever have a service issue.
But, it is a Toyota, not a Lexus - like the Bruno StairLift
(and we LOVE out Toyotal trucks)
